Many thanks to the 37 people who attended the consultation meeting on Tuesday Night to find out more about, and discuss, the proposed 20mph zone.
Following the presentation, there was a lively question and answer session and Alan Leader took advantage of the moment to explain more about the Community Speed Watch group and garner some new volunteers.
If anyone else is interested in volunteering an hour a month (at a time of your choosing), please contact Alan throught the contact form on the Parish Council website.
In addition to those present, another 10 people had given their apologies via the Parish Council website and 4 more had contacted the Chairman verbally.
At the end of the meeting, a show of hands was unanimous in favour of furthering the application for a 20mph zone as described.
In total, 51 villagers voted ‘yes’, zero voted ‘no’ and there were no ‘abstentions’.
Many thanks to everyone who took the time to attend the meeting or send in their apologies. I will now instruct the Clerk to forward the result of the consultation to Somerset Council and hope that our application will now move to the final stage.

Chairman, North Perrott Parish Council
